Russell Peters @ The Palais Theatre
Sunday 2/3/08, Monday 3/3/08, and Tuesday 4/3/08
Russell Peters was born in Toronto and grew up in Brampton, Ontario in Canada. He is Anglo-Indian. His father was from Bombay and his mother was born in Calcutta. Peters' comedy focuses largely around his Canadian upbringing and racial stereotypes, as he often parodies his parents and South Asian culture. Much of his material explores the cultural divides between many different ethnicities and upbringings in a way that includes many impressions. One reason for his popularity is that he engages the audience at his shows, by talking to individuals and making some sort of remark at, or about them.
